Infertility Quotes – Six Quotes to Remind You of Your Strength
Eloise Edington | 6 Apr 2021
Everyone’s fertility journey will look and feel different. Due to a lack of shared experience, friends and family may not always know what to say to make you feel supported or reassured. That’s to be expected of course; as they have experienced neither the highs, nor the lows, of your (in)fertility journey. People around you are likely to feel limited in the ways they can help.
What your parent, friend, or sibling has to say may not be quite what you need to hear, but — thanks to infertility communities (such as our free Fertility Squad app), there will always be someone out there, who has had similar experiences to yours. Whether you’re in need of encouragement, comfort, or a reminder that you are not alone, inspirational infertility quotes, excerpts from books, and even poetry, are an excellent way to keep your spirits high.
In a previous fertility blog post, we wrote about the ways in which infertility quotes can motivate you in your quest to conceive. Here are some of our favourite quotes found on Pinterest and Google, to keep you strong for wherever you are in your fertility journey.

‘Trust the timing of your life’
In the wake of social media, it’s become more difficult than ever to extract our friends’ authentic selves from their curated feed of special occasions, and family highlights. Advice like, ‘stop comparing yourself to other people’, is easier said than done when all it takes is the click of a button to drag up your domesticated fertility goddess friend from school, and how great her life seems.
This quote is a gentle reminder that we are all on different paths, walking at different paces. It’s essential (especially when you’re trying to conceive) to trust the timing of your own life. You’re exactly where you need to be right now. Not to mention, that person you envy online also has someone they envy and stalk on their social media too, and so it goes on.

‘Even miracles take a little time’
The media, films, sex education classes, and Instagram will have you believe that falling pregnant is as simple as A, B, C. It may only be when you decide to start thinking and researching into fertility, to prepare for your own pregnancy, that reality comes into view and for many people, trying to conceive comes with challenges — it can take time, with hurdles to overcome. Have patience with yourself.
‘Always remember, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think’
When I typed into google ‘Winnie The Pooh Quotes’, I didn’t expect there to be so many wholesome nuggets of wisdom. There are quotes to warm the heart and soul and I recommend you to have a read of them after finishing this infertility blog. This particular affirmation stood out to me, because it allows room to reflect on how far you have come on your fertility journey; be proud of how strong and brave you are and have been! Believe in yourself.

‘What feels like the end is often the beginning’
Sometimes, when unexpected or difficult situations arise, it can feel like the end. It’s important to allow ourselves to feel the pain, sadness, grief, or any other emotion that may crop up, but try not to live there. Your life has not stopped. This may be the beginning of something you’d never imagined to happen…
‘With a baby or without, you are valuable, you are whole and you matter’
Whether you’re a parent already, single but hoping to be a parent soon, trying to conceive, or somewhere in between, that doesn’t change how valuable YOU are. You are important. That is an unchanging fact, completely independent of your fertility journey — don’t forget that.

When the world says ‘give up’, hope whispers ‘try one more time’
People rely on hope to reach the other side of the most tumultuous of times. If this past year has taught us anything, it’s that hope is an undeniably powerful feeling. Isn’t that what has got us through this period of isolation and disconnect?
This gorgeous quote may be applicable to many situations, but it’s especially relevant for people who are trying to conceive. In trying times, this may be the perfect (infertility) quote to write in your daily wellness journal. Or, why not print it out and stick it somewhere you will be able to come back to read it? Hope is the antidote to fear, after all.
Infertility quotes and general quotes can provoke a whole range of emotions, but their ultimate purpose is to instil a sense of hope in people. Inspirational quotes can help to lift your spirits as well as make you feel seen and heard by others. Quotes are particularly important because they hold different meanings to different readers, so they will always feel and be unique to your life and experiences. They can connect you to others and, most importantly, to yourself. That is the most comforting fact for people, especially when it comes to fertility help.
