The Original Birth Connection

The Original Birth Connection was founded by Alex Burner; mum of 3, birth educator and doula with 10 year’s experience in the birth space, to train and support trauma informed doulas who could support all families who birth in our communities. Alex passionately believes that doulas should receive in depth training in the fundamental principles of supportive, trauma informed birth work but also have a deep knowledge of birth physiology and advocacy in order that OBC doulas are properly equipped to support their clients to navigate our modern maternity system. Alex provides antenatal, birth and postnatal support to families. Her work includes providing 1-2-1 bespoke and group antenatal education.
