The fertility and mindset connection

When it comes to fertility and mindset, it’s not always easy to keep up the positivity – we know, we’ve been there.

Having people in your corner is so important on a fertility journey – whether you’re having fertility treatment, taking meds, or just trying at home.

Lauren Haring, Registered Fertility Nurse & IVF Coach and founder of Embrace Fertility is one of our absolute go-to partners for this kind of support.

Watch and explore her practical tips for nourishing your body and empowering your journey.

For all things mindset, from discovering fertility-friendly foods to prioritizing sleep and minimizing toxins, she’s got you covered. Plus, learn how affirmations can boost resilience during IVF.

Let’s get started.

Foster a positive mindset around eating for fertility

Preparing your body to optimize for fertility is about nourishment, self-love, making choices that support your fertility.

Here are her top tips for cultivating self-love and nourishment:

  • Experiment and find fertility foods that you love
  • Celebrate the small victories that are along your journey
  • Find a support system for when you feel that times are hard or maybe a little lonely

Remember, you’re empowering not only your journey, but yourself.

Make actionable lifestyle changes to optimize your fertility

Watch as Lauren explains that the goal is to change the things you can see, and worry less about the things that you can’t.

  1. Focus on your sleep quality. Aim to get seven to nine good, solid-quality hours of sleep each night.
  2. Maintain a healthy weight. That means not being overweight or underweight as that can affect ovulation and menstrual cycles, the goal is to maintain a healthy body weight.
  3. Be aware of what you are putting in and on your body. Limit your exposure to chemicals and toxins that may negatively affect your fertility.

Nurture fertility and mindset during IVF with daily affirmations

Lauren explains that words matter – especially self-talk.

It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, but you can avoid negative feelings by changing the words you use.

Affirmations woven with love can be your gentle companion on this journey. Speak them during quiet moments, write them in your journal and let them breathe life into your days.
